Annual meeting GDR AFHP Nice 2018

October 8-10, 2018

Laboratoire J.A. Dieudonné (Nice, France)

Aim of the meeting

The annual meeting of the GDR AFHP is organized each year by one of the poles of the GDR. The conference has two main aims:

  • give a panorama of recent progress related to the thematics of the GDR, functional and harmonic analysis and their interactions with probability,
  • give the opportunity to young researchers (especially post-doc, PhD students, etc...) to present their work with short talks and a poster session.

The 2018 meeting will be held in Nice in the conference hall of the Laboratoire J.A. Dieudonné (Campus Valrose, University of Nice Sophia Antipolis). The conference will begin on Monday, October 8, early afternoon, and end on Wednesday, October 10, after lunch.

Main speakers

  • Franck Barthe (Univ. Paul-Sabatier, Toulouse, France)  Spectral gap, symmetries and log-concave perturbations
  • Frédéric Bayart (Univ. Clermont Auvergne, France)  Multifractal analysis of divergence and convergence of wavelets series
  • Sophie Grivaux (Univ. Lille, France)  Fourier coefficients of continuous measures on the Furstenberg sequence
  • Tatiana Smirnova-Nagnibeda (Univ. Genève, Swiss)  Laplacians on graphs associated with self-similar group actions
  • Emmanuel Russ (Univ. Grenoble Alpes, France)  A minimization problem for the principal eigenvalue of the Laplacian with large drift
  • Stefan Wenger (Univ. Fribourg, Swiss)  Isoperimetric characterization of non-positive curvature
